iPhone homebrew: dTunes v2.5 now with Torrent support There’s a new version of dTunes out, bringing the homebrew iTunes replacement up to version 2.5. The big news about this release is the introduction of Torrent support. The app’s Torrent support feature comes via iTorrentRelay, the only Torrent client for firmware 2.0 and higher iPhones so far. What’s even cooler is that it also converts any media file to a format suitable for the iPhone and iPod Touch upon downloading. The catch here

The ability to download podcasts directly with the new iPhone firmware is very very cool. However there are a few problems that seem to have gone by mostly unnoticed; Over the air downloads via 3G (and Edge) are limited to 10MB Not only does the mobile iTunes store lack the ability to filter larger podcasts, but nowhere is the size of a podcast shown!
